If you have the setting set at the default 35 zombies, then you will only see a total of 35 zombies across the entire server which for a server that has all of it's players spread out will ultimately result in each player seeing a very small number of zombies unless one of them gets horded and most zombie spawns will be around him or her. It does not have to do with the size of hordes as that is controlled by another file spawning.xml file in your data/config folder. Maxspawnedzombies is the maximum number of zombies that your server will have spawned at one time. Hence the confusion stems from "Maxedspawnmode" and "Maxspawnedzombies" comes in (my spawn mode is set to Normal which is 100% if this helps. Once again it depends on what this setting controls since this is one of two "spawn" settings in the xml. ![]() Can't say its worth it if my frames stutter to the point its more of fighting the low FPS vs actually fighting zombies. Does it mean how many zombies spawn in a given area and under what condition? Is this just specifying the max size a 7 day horde or screamer/scrawler spawned horde is? Part of me wants to set it to the highest it can go prior to performance drops (80) but I an concerned this will affect the challenge of the game. The conflicted part comes from no proper knowledge of how this setting works and how it affects the game. ![]() Now this wasn't to the level of unplayable but it was VERY noticeable to me and kinda ruins my enjoyment a tad. ![]() Now I'm not saying my PC is a beast but after setting it to 300 sure enough everyone of my friends on my dedicated server were experiencing FPS drops. My friend was looking over my dedicated server settings and said his server had that setting at 300 and wasn't seeing any performance drops. I had it at the default of 35 and it says in the XML that any more than 80 and there may be server FPS issues. Currently a bit conflicted but its possible I don't understand how this setting works.
